Samsung Galaxy S6 How To Wipe Cache Partition

Samsung Galaxy S6
Wipe Cache Partitions

If your phone is not working properly, resetting on it's own or maybe just too slow. You may need to clear the Cache partition. I would also suggest a Hard Reset but that's up to you...

To wipe the cache partition, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time:
    • Volume Up key
    • Home key
    • Power key.
  3. When the phone powers on and displays 'Power', release all keys and the Android icon should appear.
  4. When the Android System Recovery screen appears approx. 30 seconds later.
  5. Press the Volume down key to highlight 'wipe cache partition.'
  6. Press the Power key to select.
  7. When the wipe cache partition is complete, 'Reboot system now' is highlighted.
  8. Press the Power key to restart the device.
