Samsung Galaxy s8 Hard Reset from Android Recovery

Locked out and forgot your password, pin, or pattern? Here's how to reset your device and regain access to your new Samsung Galaxy s8. This will delete all user data and photos so please make sure your device is properly backed up before resetting the phone. Hard Reset Instuctions

  1. Ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up Bixby Power buttons at the same time. Release all buttons when the Phone vibrates.

  3. From the Android Recovery screen, select Wipe data/factory reset.
    Note Allow up to 15 seconds for the Android Recovery screen to appear.
    Note Utilize the volume buttons to cycle through the available options and the power button to select.

  4. Select Yes.
    Note Allow several seconds for the factory data reset to complete.

  5. Select Reboot system now.
    Note Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
    Note If applicable, set up your device.

That's it you have effectively erased everything and set the phone back to Factory settings. Here's a video to walk you through the process just in case you had any trouble.
