LG Optimus F60 Root Method Metro PCS

LG Optimus F60

Please remember that rooting any phone does in fact void your warranty on the device and that I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone in the process of rooting it. If you have any issues you are more than welcome to ask in the comments and I will do my best to assist you. This does not mean that I will be able to fix your phone this only means I will try!

* Before Rooting your phone please make sure any and all information that you may need is backed up and that you remove the memory card from your phone *

- Root Method for the LG Optimus F60 -


- LG Optimus F60 and Micro USB Cable

- LG United Mobile Drivers  downloaded and installed.

- Download this

- Make sure your phone has at least 40% battery before rooting.

Let's Get Started

Step 1. Enable Developer mode by going to Settings>About Phone>Software Information>Tap on Build Number until the message "You are Now A Developer" pops up. Inside the Developer Options you must check off USB Debugging.

Step 2. Open the Command Prompt in the Unzipped Root folder. Then Copy and Paste these commends one by one.

adb.exe push /data/local/tmp/

adb.exe push busybox /data/local/tmp/

adb.exe push /data/local/tmp/

Step 3. Put your device in Download Mode by first powering off the device then press and hold the Volume Up and plug in the USB until Download Mode appears on the screen.

Step 4. In the Command Prompt in the Unzipped Root Folder run the command below

Send_Command.exe \\.\COM5

(To find which COM port your device is under open the device manager and click on Ports. Your device port is listed under the drop down menu.)

Step 5. After running the command on the correct COM port you will be presented with a root shell # symbol. In the root shell enter the command below using copy and paste.

sh /data/local/tmp/ dummy 1 /data/local/tmp/ /data/local/tmp/busybox

You should see something happening on the screen. After this has completed pull your battery wait 30 seconds and place the battery back in and turn your phone back on. You now are Rooted!

Make sure to download the App Root Checker from the Google Play Store open the app and check root status.
