How to Hard Reset the s7 and s7 Edge 

Locked out of your phone or maybe erasing it so someone else can use it? Well here's how to perform a Hard Reset on the Samsung Galaxy s7 or the s7 Edge for any carrier. Make sure you remove your memory card before hard resetting your phone. Also, you must have the logins for the Gmail that is currently on the phone so that you can get back into the device after you reset it. After you log back into the Gmail you are given the option to remove it or keep it on there.

1. Power off your device.

2. Wait for a few seconds while your phone is shutting down.

3. Press and hold the Power, Volume Up and Home buttons simultaneously to get into 
Recovery mode. 

4. Use Volume keys to navigate and Power button to select an option in Recovery mode.

5. Once in, from the main menu, using Power key, select wipe data factory reset.

6. If you want to clear app data cache too, choose wipe cache partition. Clearing cache often fixes various software related issues.

7. When done, go back to main recovery menu.

8. Select reboot system now and your phone is erased and set back to factory default.
